The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is scheduled to be released on January 28, 2026 on PS5 (console exclusive), PC via Steam, iOS, and Android. This was announced during Sony’s State of Play on September 25, 2025, and confirmed in Netmarble’s press release and various gaming outlets.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is an open-world action RPG set in a multiverse version of the Seven Deadly Sins universe, featuring a completely original storyline. You play as Tristan, the son of the series’ main protagonists, Meliodas and Elizabeth (spoiler alert!) The game expands the world of Britannia with a new story supervised by the original manga’s creator, Nakaba Suzuki. In it, a massive rift in time and space has distorted timelines and brought chaos to the world. As Tristan, you must venture across the land and gather allies to fix this multiversal crisis.
The game features:
Open-world exploration: Built with Unreal Engine 5, the game lets you explore a vast and detailed world with diverse environments like mountains, forests, and ruins. You can traverse the world by gliding, swimming, climbing, and riding mounts.
Real-time combat: Combat is fast-paced and strategic. You will assemble a team of heroes, each with unique abilities and fighting styles, and can switch between them mid-battle.
Recruit familiar faces: The game’s roster includes both new original characters and fan-favorite heroes from across the Seven Deadly Sins and Four Knights of the Apocalypse series.
Character customization: You can equip heroes with different weapons, which will change their skills and ultimate abilities.
Additional activities: Beyond the main quest, you can fish, cook, gather resources for crafting, and hunt for hidden treasures and dungeons.
Multiplayer options: The game is free-to-play and offers a complete solo experience, but also includes optional co-op for up to four players for exploring dungeons and fighting bosses.
