Finding the perfect Gacha game in 2025 is tough. It’s a new year, we have a pethora of new Gacha games releasing – and plenty that are already playable. I’ve played a LOT of Gacha games. Maybe too many now that I think about it. So I like to think I’m uniquely qualified to rank them on a scale of great to terrible – games you should play, and games you absolutely shouldn’t.
Which is where this tier list comes in. I’m here, today, to rank every Gacha I can remember that I’ve played. To hopefully help you find something new.
The tiers being used to rank Gacha games consist of – from highest to lowest: UR+ – UR – SSR+ – SSR – SR+ – SR – R – N

Action Taimanin
Action Taimanin is an incredibly degenerate action game with phenomenal looking characters set within the larger Taimanin franchise. Which I’d totally recommend you watch if you like good cultured Anime. I’d put this in the SR+ category. Good combat, good characters. That’s all you need for a decent game.
Aether Gazer
Aether Gazer is a fast, instanced action RPG that is not only pretty free to play friendly, but is also one of the more fun games of its kind. Unfortunately it never achieved the level of success of some of its competitors. SSR+ tier.
AFK Journey
AFK Journey is about as far from what its name would lead you to believe it is – featuring great looking characters, turn-based combat, stellar storyline, voice acting, and large world to explore. This one took me by surprise – definite SSR+ tier.
Alchemy Stars
Alchemy Stars has unfortunately shut down in January 2025, but that makes it no less fun of a turn-based strategy game. It had decent character models, and was actually a little difficult at times. I’d put this in the SR category.
Ananta
Can I rank games based on anticipation? Or hype? Let’s do that. Ananta is an open-world action RPG and is easily the first UR+ tier game. Hands down one of my most anticipated Gacha of 2025.
Arknights
Arknights is a tactical tower defense RPG – arguably the best of its kind. It’s my 2nd favorite Gacha of all time, and is also the Gacha game that got me into this genre. Easily UR+ tier.
Arknights Endfield
Much like Ananta, Arknights Endfield is an upcoming semi open-world Gacha with hybrid action combat, and is absolutely one of my most anticipated Gacha games, immediately going into the UR+ tier category. This might be the first major AAA budget Gacha of its kind, and I’ve enjoyed the dozens of hours I’ve got to play in the Global Beta.
Artery Gear Fusion
Artery Gear: Fusion is a turn based RPG with some cute characters, but that was pretty much it. SR tier.
Ash Echoes
Ash Echoes is a surprisingly fun tactical RPG with a fun story, good combat, unique character models. I’m surprised this isn’t more popular than it is, definite SSR tier game.
Azur Lane
Azur Lane is a side-scrolling shoot ’em up game that is arguably one of the most cultured Gacha games of its kind. Super free to play friendly, incredible characters, and honestly pretty decent idle gameplay. I’d put this in the SSR+ category.
Azur Promilia
Azur Promilia is an open-world action RPG with full flight, mounts, farming – and might just spark the evolution of the genre. I’d put this in UR+ tier. How could I not?
Black Beacon
Black Beacon is an instanced RPG that allows you to fully, manually navigate. It features surprisingly good quality action combat, fantastic voice acting, a unique, dark aesthetic that I love, and is done by ex-Kuro devs. Definite SSR+ tier.
Blue Archive
Blue Archive is a tactical RPG. It’s one of the more fun games out there and is incredibly free to play friendly. SSR+ tier game easily. I’ve actually hit max level in the game as well. One of the few Gacha’s I can say that about.
Cat Fantasy
Cat Fantasy is an instanced mission based RPG with some cute characters, but relatively average everything else. R tier quality.
Epic Seven
Epic seven is a pretty fun turn-based RPG with incredible looking Waifu’s. Husbando’s… ehh. Waifu’s though, holy crap. Definitely an SSR+ tier game.
Etheria Restart
Etheria Restart is an instanced turn-based RPG – and is also one of the coolest games of its respective kind. It’s beautiful, fun, has a fantastic story, and offers a nice alternative to Honkai Star Rail. Definite SSR tier.
Eversoul
Eversoul is one of the only Idle RPG’s I’d ever recommend someone play. It’s genuinely that good. 10/10 characters, incredibly free to play friendly, lots of content to consume. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this game at all. UR tier – which I know will confuse a lot of you.

Evertale
Evertale is a turn-based RPG – it’s the game you see in all the ads using dark horror-themed Pokemon footage. Horrible game, and horrible company. Absolute N tier garbage.
Fate/Grand Order
Fate/Grand Order is a very narrative heavy turn-based RPG and is one of the only successful Anime adaptations in the genre. The story is incredible, but everything else is pretty average. Except for the cultured content you can find online. I’d put this in the SR+ category.
Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact – the Gacha that started it all. Great story, great graphics, great character models, great voice acting, incredible world. But no skip feature really kills the flow and a lot of excitement you have, and the game’s mascot Paimon is irritating as hell. UR tier for sure though.
Girls’ Frontline
Girls’ Frontline is a turn-based strategy game. Unlike its successor – and I know this’ll upset some people – I never really enjoyed it. It was slow and a lot more complicated than I would’ve liked. But it isn’t bad. SR tier definitely.
Girls’ Frontline 2
Girls’ Frontline 2 is a turn-based tactical game. It features insane characters – seriously, you should look at some of them. Great graphics, fun gameplay, good voice acting, a great story. Definitely UR tier, and with the updated dorm and new content coming? Holy crap dude.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke
NIKKE – or Goddess of Victory: Nikke is my favorite Gacha game. One of the best stories told in Gacha, some of the best voice acting, most incredible Waifu’s, ridiculously cultured, a ton to do, casual and competitive friendly. This is easily a UR+ tier game.
Guardian Tales
Guardian Tales is an action RPG like none other. Think Zelda, if it didn’t take itself seriously. It’s hilarious, looks great, plays great, has so much content, a beautiful story. My god this is what Gacha games should aspire to be. UR+ tier. One of my 5 favorite Gacha games of all time.
Honkai Impact 3rd
Honkai Impact 3rd is a fun action RPG with a great story, good character models, and solid action combat. I’d rate this SSR+.
Honkai: Star Rail
Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based RPG with a phenomenal story, top-tier characters, fantastic English dub, beautiful world to explore. Easy UR+ quality game.
Idle Epic Angels of Fate
Idle Epic Angels of Fate is… an AI generated piece of trash. I regret every second I wasted in this game and wish I could get it back. From its AI story, to its AI characters. This is an abomination of a game that should not exist. N tier.
Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade
Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade is a pretty faithful adaptation of the Anime of the same name, but…. outside of that, is also one of the most simple, feature-barren turn-based RPGs out there. R tier.
King’s Raid
King’s Raid is a side-scrolling RPG that was absolutely destroyed by its developers’ greed. It has attractive characters, a decent story, but is so disappointing to see in the state it’s in. R tier.
Limbus Company
Limbus Company is a… weird kinda game honestly, kinda turn-based but also kinda real-time brawl? This is a crazy game. Crazy story, crazy characters, crazy setting, crazy difficult mechanically. It’s surprisingly not very popular, but I’d rate it an SSR+ tier game.
Memento Mori
Memento Mori is one of the most beautiful Gacha games I’ve ever watched, and I use that term because that’s all you do. There’s no story after the intro, no manual control of anything, you just watch pretty characters use pretty abilities. That’s it. SR tier game only due to its graphics.
Neural Cloud
Neural Cloud is a real-time strategy game that is honestly a lot more fun than a lot of people give it credit for. Beautiful characters, good story, and decent gameplay – but for whatever reason the game never really took off, which is a shame. Definitely SSR category game.
Neverness to Everness
Neverness to Everness is an upcoming open-world action RPG. It has an incredibly beautiful world, decent characters, pretty poor combat, a ridiculously good narrative and style of storytelling. I’d put this in the SSR category.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds
Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is pretty much a segregated world auto-battle RPG. It has a good narrative, beautiful graphical style, and then.. ended up one of the worst Gacha games in history. N tier game.
One Punch Man World
One Punch Man World is an action game that shouldn’t exist. It looks bad, plays bad, and is essentially a play by play retelling of parts of the Anime in the worst disconnected way. Absolutely trash N tier game.
Path to Nowhere
Path to Nowhere is a tower-defense RPG, much like Arknights, and functions in much the same way, with different mechanics, more realistic graphics and characters. This is such an underrated game – UR tier, without question.
Punishing: Gray Raven
Punishing: Gray Raven is a very fun action RPG with a fantastic story, incredible character models, and some of the best action combat the genre has to offer. Easy UR tier game.
Raid: Shadow Legends
I know lots of people like to give Raid: Shadow Legends crap, and honestly this isn’t a good game by any stretch of the imagination, but for an idle RPG – it’s honestly not nearly as bad as some others. R tier category.
ReMemento White Shadow
ReMemento White Shadow is what you’d get if you merged Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail together. A large, open world, and turn-based combat, with a beautiful aesthetic and characters. Definitely an SSR+ tier game from what I played during the Korean launch.
Reverse: 1999
Reverse: 1999 is a turn-based RPG with one of the best stories told in Gacha, best English dubs you’ll find in the genre, beautiful aesthetic. I was addicted to this game for weeks, definitely a UR+ tier game. One of my all time favorites.
Snowbreak
Snowbreak is a third person shooter – or it was until it went degen, now it’s a dating sim. Top-tier Waifu’s that you can marry. Decent gameplay, pretty average story, good graphics. I’d put this in the SSR+ tier.
Solo Leveling: ARISE
Solo Leveling: ARISE is an action RPG based on the popular webtoon, it’s a play-by-play of the series, with some minor alterations made to keep things a little more exciting. Honestly not a bad adaptation, one of the few decent ones. Probably SR tier.
Starseed Asnia Trigger
Starseen Asnia Trigger is an auto-combat instanced RPG. It looks great, and is incredibly cultured, but that’s not enough to save it from being an average game. R tier quality.
The Eminence in Shadow
The Eminence in Shadow is an Anime adapted Gacha, so you should know what to expect. It’s a basic game, with basic combat, basic visuals, and scenes ripped directly from the Anime. Not all, but quite a few. R tier.
The Legend of Neverland
The Legend of Neverland is “Genshin Impact at home” – your Dollar Store alternative to Genshin with similar graphics, but mostly auto-play. It’s very bad, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone ever play this. N tier.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross
The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross is a turn-based RPG set within the 7 Deadly Sins intellectual property. It’s also very play-by-play, with the game making full use of scenes taken directly from the Anime, sharing its equally as entertaining story and tone. Definitely SSR tier.
Tokyo Ghoul Break the Chains
Tokyo Ghoul Break the Chains is an absolute abomination of a game, having horrible turn-based combat, and reusing the majority of scenes from the Anime, but in still-form. It’s a disgustingly obvious cash grab. N tier.
Tower of Fantasy
Tower of Fantasy is one of the very few MMORPG Gacha games out there. After playing it quite extensively towards the end of 2024, I’d have to put this in the SR tier. Great world, average combat, bad character models, horrible story and voice acting.
Wuthering Waves
Wuthering Waves is an enormous open-world RPG – if Genshin started it all, Wuthering Waves has definitely taken Genshin’s torch and is taking it to all new heights. Good story, phenomenal graphics, the best character models the genre has to offer, beautiful world, insane combat. UR+ tier, no question, this is one of the defining Gacha games of the 2020s.
Zenless Zone Zero
Zenless Zone Zero is a segregated action RPG. Much like WuWa, Zenless is one of the few Gacha games to set the new standard in the genre. Incredible combat, some of the best character models, great graphics, fantastic story. Another UR+ tier game, arguably HoYo’s only UR+ tier game at present.

And that is every Gacha I’ve played, off the top of my head. There are probably more, but this is already ridiculously long as-is.
