Ananta is NetEase’s free-to-play urban open-world action RPG set in a bustling modern anime city. It features high-freedom sandbox gameplay where you play as different characters in a task force, do missions, build squads, and fight with martial arts/superpowered combat reminiscent of Sifu. There is no character Gacha, instead, Gacha for outfits/vehicles(?) and other cosmetics. Has a single explorable city several times larger than NTE with functional scaling of buildings, spiderman-style traversal, and numerous vehicles.

Azur Promilia is an open-world fantasy RPG developed by Azur Lane devs Manjuu, with heavy creature-collecting/companionship mechanics. You’ll catch, train, and battle cute fantasy creatures called Kibo in a magical world. It features seamlessly open zones, along with functional ground and aerial mounts. It has full action combat and absolutely gorgeous Waifu’s (only – no Husbando’s at all.)

Honkai Nexus Anima is HoYoverse’s new Honkai-series creature-collector strategy/adventure game. You’re a plane-hopping traveler who bonds with and collects cute, powerful “Anima” creatures for auto-battler/strategy combat and exploration. Much like other Honkai games, Nexus Anima also ties into Honkai lore (some familiar characters will appear). It’s a much more relaxed monster-taming game than mainline Honkai games. The extent of the open-world is to be determined.

Little is known about Project 2/3 Utopia at present as only a single trailer has been released. What we do know is that it is going to be an Anime open-world ARPG where you travel through time and dimensions with your guide Theseus. Features shifting between 2D and 3D worlds, rewriting history, and fighting across eras. Pretty traditional Gacha open-world action combat with a heavy time/dimension-bending theme.

Rewinding Cadence is one of the more unique games in this list – it is an open-world action RPG built around time-loop mechanics and narrative. You rewind cycles to change outcomes in a story-heavy world with branching quests, choices, and consequences (some D&D-style elements), creating stories that are different for every player. It features full action combat with many people online comparing it to Wuthering Waves in terms of quality. It is developed by Saroasis Studios (Tencent).

Silver Palace is another very unique upcoming Gacha game, it’s an Anime-style open-world action RPG set in a Victorian-inspired steampunk metropolis (Silvernia) powered by a mysterious resource called Silverium. You play a detective solving crimes and mysteries amid political intrigue, cults, and factions while doing flashy combo-based combat with partners (and a strong focus on parrying.) You can ride your pegasus mount (I’m sure others will be included in the future,) and fly through the skies, adding additional layers to exploration.
