Back in November, the official Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia Twitter page made the announcement that the game would be ending service on February 29th, 2024. They quoted, at the time, “We would like to thank you for your many years of support, and hope you can enjoy playing for a little while longer.”

On February 28th, 2024, at 11PM EST, a follow-up Tweet was made stating that the game had officially “ended service,” thanking players for support over the years.

In spite of the accomplishments Opera Omnia achieved, it seems as though Square Enix shuts down more games than they have live these days, to the point this has become a running meme.
