Ex Blue Archive developers (including Isakusan, who was the lead writer for Eden Treaty and Vol. F revealed they are developing a brand new Anime RPG – currently referred to as Project KV (Blue Katana/Blue Sword are other common names.)
It features a significant number of similarities to Blue Archive – the game is set at an academy, it seems as though the cast is primarily – or exclusively female, there is a dormitory feature, however, where Blue Archive was a Gacha game centered around gun-fighting, Project KV will center around sword-fighting, (perhaps spears, bows etc.) bringing an entirely different take and perspective to its predecessor.
An action combat system was hinted at, leading many players to believe it’ll be an action RPG rather than the partial idle-tactical RPG Blue Archive is.
Project KV is confirmed to not be under development by, nor will it likely be published by Nexon, unlike Blue Archive. Whether this is a positive or a negative depends on how you feel about Nexon as a company.
Other than a promotional poster, and small video teaser, nothing additional was revealed. However, we have a direct confirmation there will be news – whether that pertains to additional promotional material (in the form of images, or videos,) on September 2nd, 2024. So stay tuned!
